Virtual Consignments
What is Virtual Consignment?
Virtual consignment means that a gallery or dealer offers an artwork to clients and on the market as part of their catalogue without physically owning or storing the piece. The gallery promotes, markets, and lists the work digitally – and once a sale is made, the artwork is either delivered by the owner or shipping is arranged.
